Itinerary
DAY 1
In the morning we will leave the city around 8 am and head to the Fredberg where we will arrive at noon at the base camp. Here we will relax, explore the area and have lunch. In the afternoon we leave for the top of the mountain. This walk takes about 2 to 3 hours and on the way the guide will tell you everything about the area and hopefully we will spot some amazing animals too! Once on top of the mountain we can enjoy a beautiful sunset. From the top we may see monkeys, macaws and other birds flying by. At the top there is a hammock camp (with hammocks) where we stay the night.
DAY 2
Waking up at sunrise between howler monkeys while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee. After breakfast we will walk downhill to the base camp and on the way, we will of course look for beautiful animals and plants! Around noon we arrive at the base camp where we will have lunch. In the afternoon there is time to swim in the river, enjoy the surroundings and relax! In the evening, after dinner, we go for a night walk! In the dark there are other animals active than during the day; snakes, frogs, tarantulas and other nocturnal animals awaken. During the night walk, the guide will also tell you all about it. In the base camp there are several lodges and a large dormitory with beds.
DAY 3
For the enthusiast, we can take a walk in the morning and experience the awakening of nature and the animals. Around noon (after lunch) we leave for the city where we arrive again around 18:00 hours. If you want to stay 4 days, we can arrange this day, in consultation with the guide, as you would like. There is time to swim, relax and walk in the area.
